Selections of treatments are available which include: Aromatherapy Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Indian Head Scalp Massage and Swedish Massage - all tailored to suit your own personal health requirements.

Jayshree is a qualified Massage Therapist and is Registered with Massage New Zealand as a CMT Therapist. She has an ITEC Diploma (UK) in Anatomy, Physiology & Body Massage (1998) and also has an ITEC Diploma (UK) in Aromatherapy (1999).

These days massage is not just for "feeling good." Therapeutic massage helps people feel less anxious; less stressed and more relaxed and enhances medical treatment. An increasing number of research studies show massage reduces heart rate, lowers blood pressure, increases blood circulation and lymph flow, relaxes muscles, improves range of motion and increases endorphins.

Adi studied in the UK where she qualified in various types of massage, including; Swedish massage, aromatherapy, sports massage, lymphatic drainage, reflexology and deep tissue. She has enjoyed working in a gym environment for the past 6 years and will take a holistic approach to your health care needs.

Although therapeutic massage does not increase muscle strength, it can stimulate weak, inactive muscles and partially compensate for the lack of exercise and inactivity resulting from illness or injury. It also can improve and lead to a more complete recovery from exercise or injury.

Anyone who works out, whether you are a novice or training for an event will benefit from massage; weight lifters, athletes, tennis players, runners, swimmers, golfers, dancers etc. all will benefit from having regular massage.

WHY TRY MASSAGE?
IMAGE: MASSAGE

Massage is a very versatile therapy, which can be modified to meet the requirements of each individual. Treatment concentrates on reducing tension in tired muscles and reducing the amount of lactic acid found in muscles after exercise or stress. Massage is a great way to relieve stress, prevent tension and injury, enhance energy flow, ease fatigue and recharge the body and mind. There are a number of techniques used to achieve this state of relaxation as explained below:

Swedish Massage - A firm massage using long flowing techniques to help relieve tension and stress.

Lymphatic Drainage - A smooth flowing gentle technique, which allows oxygenation and elimination of cellular waste products.

Deep Tissue - Connective tissue massage which targets stress-prone areas. Stimulates histamine to heal, repair, increase circulation and relieve pain in the tissue.

Reflexology - A treatment of the hands and feet which locates the pressure points or reflexes which are relative to every organ and part of the body.

Aromatherapy - Natural plant oils are recognised for their healing, cleansing, preservative and mood-enhancing properties. A therapeutic treatment for both mind and body.

Sports Massage - A treatment using assisted stretching, kneading and other massage techniques to loosen areas of chronic tension and help relieve areas before they become chronic.
